This illustration is of the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls complex, showing the two falls (American to the left and Horseshoe to the right) in the background, and the park with viewing area in the foreground.
There is no description on the back of this card.
Although the image is from the Canadian side, the card is made in the USA.  This image likely dates from the 1930s, as indicated by the cars just visible above the foreground railing.

Chateau de Chillon, Lake Geneva, Switzerland

This illustration shows the so-called Chateau de Chillon, more commonly known now as Chillon Castle, which sits on a promontory into Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

There is no description on the back of this card.
The first work on the castle dates back to at least 1005, and it has been used for much of its existence as a prison. It is now open to the public and claims to be Switzerland’s most visited historic monument.
This image likely dates from the 1930s.

This image shows a bullfighter ‘making a pass’ with his cape to lure the bull behind him where the cape has been displayed.

— The move described is so named for the movement of the matador’s arm behind his back as he waves the cape. His nickname was earned charro bullfighting. He died in the ring.
This card likely dates from the 1960s.

Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana

This is a color illustration of one of the main streets in Indianapolis, Indiana. This earlier image shows the same building fourth down from the left, indicating this is the corner of Washington and Illinois Street.

This card was used and is dated 8 August 1951, but the image likely dates from the 1940s.

This image shows the same building from the same perspective but as it might look during nighttime. The lighting is inconsistent with the illustration, as the moon is behind the building, but the front is brightly lit by some other ambient light.

World-famous murals and a great resources museum attract thousands of visitors.
–The river passes behind the building, out of sight from this perspective. The card was used, and is dated 1 July 1953.

The magnificent $4,000,000 Capitol Building, located on a bluff 150 feet above the Missouri River, was completed in 1918. The building, surmounted by a dome of unusual beauty and surrounded by graceful fluted columns is an excellent example of Renaissance architecture. World-famous murals and a great resources museum attract thousands of visitors.
–The building is more reminiscent of Greek Revival than the Gothic of the Renaissance, and such buildings are typical of statehouses throughout the country.
This postcard was used and is dated 1 July 1953.

This image shows the  large vertical formation known as Onyx Falls in Stark Caverns, Eldon Missouri. The green stone deposit in the background is an onyx deposition.

A fine example of mother nature’s handiwork carved in stone. It’s rich. Gorgeous coloring in reds, grey and blues make it truly one of the definitely different type formations found in Stark Caverns. Garden of the Gods can then be seen beyond the falls and is trill a masterpiece created by nature.
–The ridge in the lower foreground is a containment for water which is flowing in this area. The level seems to have dropped some since this picture was taken, as indicated by this more recent photo.

One of the truly different type formations found in Stark Caverns. A fine example of water cutting through solid limestone depicting the effects of erosion — a marvel of mother nature. Thousands drink from this fountain each year.
–The attraction has been renamed Fantasy World Caverns. This feature was constructed from a flowing spring in the cave to create a large pool with a controlled outflow.

Will Rogers Museum and Tomb, Claremore, Oklahoma

This card is an artist’s illustration of the Will Rogers memorial complex in Claremore, Oklahoma, where the man is buried and a museum is open to the public. The museum was built in 1938, three years after his death.
