The Hall of the Crucifixion, massive, steel-reinforced structure enshrining America’s largest religious painting, “The Crucifixion,” commands a panoramic view of cities and mountains from high atop Mouth Forest Lawn. The adjoining Museum is filled with religious and historical art objects.

–This location is the original site of what is now a chain of six cemeteries in the Los Angeles area. There are over 1500 statues of artwork present in this cemetery, including a complete collection of Michelangelo sculptures made from castings.
This postcard was used and is dated 24 July 1953. The building had been completely shortly before this photo was taken.
