Located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, the spired “Mormon” Temple dominates the historic grounds. Work on the graceful structure was begun in 1853 and after 40 years of sacrifice it was completed in 1893.
–The building is sacred to the LDS church, and is not open to the public, or even some of the LDS members themselves.
