This image is of an old Stavkirke or stave church, known as Boynton Chapel, located in Björklunden in Door County, Wisconsin. A stave church is one made from post and lintel construction with timber framing. Most exist in Norway.

The description states:
BOYNTON CHAPEL
Bailey’s Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin
Replica of a 15th Century Stavkirke.
It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan just south of Bailey’s Harbor.
–In fact, the chapel echoes an earlier, 12th century building style, and was erected between 1939 and 1947 by the Boynton family.
This postcard is dated 1958.
