This is an image of the main road through Grand Rapids at the time, Michigan Avenue. Visible in the image is a set of streetcar tracks which served the entire visible length of the avenue, and the Michigan Avenue bridge over the Grand River.
There is no description on the back of this card. The original photo had some detail problems which have been crudely corrected with black outlining, clearly visible in the back right of the image, most notably around the church and steeple. Of course, it has also been colorized as well.
Given the age of this card, it is almost certain the photograph was taken from a building tower or steeple and not from an aircraft. This postcard was used, and is dated 3 July 1915.
