This formation, striated throughout its surface by water action, is called the Rock Candy Mountain. This label may not be current, as the location with the name at this writing is located in central Utah, not in the Zion National Park.

The carvings in sandstone formations seen along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway are a source of interest and wonderment. Motor bus tours from Cedarr City, Utah, pass over this highway from Zion, Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon National Parks.
