There is no description on the back of the card. However, there is a caption printed on the front,  across the trees in the back of the scene, which is obscured by the image. It reads:

The Flaming Waters

Vanderbilt, Michigan

Vanderbilt, Michigan is located in the upper center of the lower peninsula of Michigan, in Otsego County. It is not known why this is called the Flaming Waters.

This card likely dates from the 1950s.
