The resort is a campground and marina for visiting boats and boat rentals for tourists visiting the island. It continues to operate today, including the same moorings seen in this picture.

The card is dated 1961.

Dolomite Quarry, Drummond Island, Michigan

This image shows the extensive dolomite quarry works on Drummond Island, Michigan, and the ferry dock at the far left.

This is an aerial view of the small unincorporated village on Drummond Island, Michigan, located at the extreme eastern end of the Upper Peninsula.

Drummond Island, Michigan.

–The settlement is on the north shore of the island, and is surrounded by Lake Huron. The settlement is only about 1000 people at this writing, and was considerably smaller when this image was made in 1961.
