I remember visiting the Monarch Pine as a boy with my parents. I’m so sad to hear it is now gone. I am 61 now and wanted to take my grandbabies to see it. I own a guitar company called Lyrones Instruments in Battle Creek and build acoustic instruments of all kinds and would LOVE to build an instrument from it’s wood if any is available. Please contact me if anyone knows where I might be able to get some for posterity… William Lirones @ LyronesInstruments.com 269 419 3727 (YES I would donate it to the logging museum)

While I can not be absolutely sure, I would be astonished if any wood remained since it was cut down over 30 years ago.
